The original Japanese farming simulation Harvest Moon was released as early as 1996 and was made by Amccus. Harvest Moon has players take control of the game’s young main character boy as they bring their grandfather’s farm back to its former glory by crafting, resource-gathering, farming, and befriending the local villagers.
