Forza Horizon 2

Forza Horizon 2
  • Platform Xbox 360, Xbox One
  • Release Sep 30, 2013
  • Developer Playground Games
  • Publisher Microsoft
Official Site: www.forzamotorsport.net

The latest game in the Forza series takes place in the open-world setting of France and Italy. Players can race through the European continent with a dynamic weather system and hundreds of cars to choose from, including the 2014 Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 and the Bugatti Veyron Supersport.

The game world is roughly three times larger than the original Forza Horizon, allowing players to really experience the fun of zooming through France and Italy in high-speed races. Forza Horizon 2‘s “Bucket List” system is a unique series of challenges for the player to complete, including some co-op missions that can be completed online with strangers or friends. Other modes include “Car Meets,” in which players can compare their cars with one another.

Forza Horizon 2 boasts a 1080p display at 30 frames per second. Though the game’s engine is capable of running more frames per second, some compromises had to be made to ensure smoothness in the open-world map. The game received positive reviews overall, with critics especially praising the open-world setting and graphics. One DLC has already been released, adding a new setting, event types, and vehicles.
