Rapper T-Pain recently took to his Twitter account to scold Apex Legends players who are harassing the game's development team. Respawn Entertainment, developer of the popular battle royale shooter, has reportedly come under fire from fans in recent weeks, seeing increased harassment against Respawn employees. While the developer did not reveal any specific instances, Respawn recently made a statement on social media condemning harassment of its employees. Now, T-Pain has come out in support of Respawn amidst the controversy.

In a post to the rapper's Twitter this past weekend, T-Pain had some harsh words of criticism for Apex Legends fans responsible for the harassment. T-Pain told players they have to "chill out" and stop harassing employees, suggesting that those players should play a different game. For fans angry enough to send harassment to employees at Respawn, T-Pain suggested they "walk away from the console/PC" instead of harassing the people who make the game.

The clip would not be the first time T-Pain has shut down aggressive fans in the gaming space. Alongside his success as a musician, T-Pain has regularly streamed on Twitch playing a variety of games. During an online match of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, T-Pain was the target of racist comments from members of the match lobby. The rapper would go on to swiftly take revenge on the racist players during the match, nearly sweeping the entire team by himself.

T-Pain has seen modest success in the Twitch streaming space, playing a variety of games for his audience. T-Pain has featured multiple different genres of games through his livestreams from racing games like Forza Horizon 5 to shooters like Fortnite and Call of Duty. T-Pain also regularly shows his musical creative process on stream, regularly creating music during his broadcasts. T-Pain has even composed a variety of royalty-free songs for streamers to use on Twitch without having to run the risk of having streams muted or taken down for copyrighted music.

Despite the harassment from angry players, Apex Legends and Respawn Entertainment still have plenty in store for fans of the popular battle royale. Apex kicked off its newest Ranked split yesterday for the second half of the game's Season 14. Recent datamines have also revealed the next Collection event coming for the game with Loba's heirloom planned to be introduced alongside skins for several weapons and characters. While harassment from fans may continue despite the statements from Respawn and T-Pain, Apex Legends continues to see new content added and new reasons for players to queue up.

Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
