Popular Switch Games Are Currently Discounted at Best Buy

Best Buy is currently holding a sale that offers irresistible discounts and deals on some of the biggest games on the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch was first released back in 2017 and within its three years of existence, the hybrid console continues to make strides in the gaming industry. Although Nintendo hasn't revealed any plans for a successor to the Switch, the company recently made a promise to increase the production of the console, especially since stocks have been extremely limited due to high demand. Now, players who recently got their hands on the Switch would be happy to know that Best Buy is currently holding a sale that discounts some of the console's most popular titles.

Headlining Best Buy's Switch Games Sale is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Of course, Breath of the Wild continues to be one of the most popular games in Nintendo's arsenal given its vast open-world environment that showcases the console's capability. It is also no secret that Breath of the Wild is one of the games that made the Switch popular when it was first released back in 2017, and the game remains to be the preferred first game of new Switch owners.

Right now, players can snag Breath of the Wild at Best Buy for $49.99, which is $10 cheaper than its original list price of $59.99. Although the discount is not much, it is worth noting that Nintendo rarely offers discounts to its games, so players should take advantage of this deal while it is still available.

Another noteworthy Switch game that players can get at a discount right now is Square Enix's Octopath Traveler. The game is currently available at Best Buy for $44.99, which is $15 off its original price of $59.99. To the uninitiated, Octopath Traveler follows the stories of eight heroes as they journey across the land of Osterra. The game is also a nice throwback to the Super NES style visuals that also allows players to experience a classic turn-based RPG experience.

Due to its critical success when it was first released, Octopath Traveler has been ported to Google Stadia and the PC, and a prequel and sequel is currently in the works. The prequel, called Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, will be released to mobile devices, while the console sequel still does not have a definite release date.
