Back in September, Capcom announced Super Street Fighter IV, the sequel to Street Fighter IV, polarizing video game insiders. Many thought the game was a marketing gimmick that abused gamers for buying the original release. Others believed the game would bring necessary balancing tweaks — extra characters and other features would just be icing on the cake.

Now, recent Famitsu magazine scans reveal even more Super Street Fighter IV particulars — most notably, the car and barrel bashing bonus levels of Street Fighter II are returning to the franchise. So, for those of you who genuinely missed watching E-Honda dismantle a car with his Hyakuretsu Harite, we’re glad Capcom finally heard your pleas.

The magazine doesn’t tease any new characters but does reiterate Super Street Fighter IV’s improved online capabilities and details a couple new multiplayer modes: Endless Battle and Team Battle, where brawlers can compete with up to seven other players.

Capcom has yet to announce a price for Super Street Fighter IV but it’s possible that the sequel is shaping up to offer a pretty enticing deal for Street Fighter fans, as well as gamers who might have passed on the original release. I can’t say I’m convinced the content will be worth the price of admission, but Super Street Fighter IV is starting to look more like a complete package rather than additional content that could have been delivered through patches and DLC.

What do you think of the scans? Do the features detailed in Super Street Fighter IV so far warrant a new sequel disc?

Super Street Fighter IV is scheduled for a spring launch.
