Fans of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have been waiting with bated breath for the announcement of who would be concluding the DLC fighters in the last Fighters Pass. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has added some fantastic characters since the first Fighters Pass, including Banjo Kazooie, Joker, and Sephiroth. Kazuya was added last June, which was well recieved by fans. Since then, anticipation for the final character has grow among the Super Smash Bros. fanbase, which Masahiro Sakurai has promoted on Twitter regularly.

Today, Sakurai has announced that Kingdom Hearts' Sora will be the last fighter added to the Fighters Pass. This came as a surprise for some but there have been rumors that Sora would be the new character for a while. Sora will be an easy character to pick up, unlike some of the other additions to the fighter packs. He has many airborne attacks as well as some excellent combo moves to gain victory. The final Fighters Pass DLC Character Sora and additional content will be avaiable October 18, 2021. Players may purchase the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for $30 or purchase the characters individually for $6 per fighter.

With the addition of Sora comes coloration differences available. These include his Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts 3 outfit designs. There is also Sora Timeless River available in the designs for the character. Sora's keyblade will be a formidable weapon against opponents as it will also include magic which can be used. These classic Final Fantasy magics are Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzaga.

In addition, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also add three Mii costumes pieces which include a Splatoon Octoling wig, Judd hat, and Doom Slayer (gunner) outfit. Included with Sora's addition will be new songs and a stage, which will feature a form of Hollow Bastion in the background. This was an area in several of the games. Hollow Bastion turned into the Radiant Garden, but in later games, turned back. However, this stage also changes into the classic beginning we see in Kingdom Hearts with the stained glass. The stained glass changes, switching between various beloved characters from the Kingdom Hearts series. New Kingdom Hearts spirits will also be available.

This conclusion has many fans wondering what the next move will be for the Super Smash Bros. franchise and if there will be another game. Director and Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has mentioned in the past that the Fighters Pass 2 may be his last project. Whether he steps down from game director or not, fans have voiced their adoration for all he has done for the Super Smash Bros. franchise.
