About a couple of weeks ago, a leak by a foreign retailer potentially revealed that Nintendo had plans to release a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch bundle in order to further support the  launch of the forthcoming crossover fighting game. Now, it looks as if the rumors were true to some extent, as the Big N recently confirmed that it will indeed be selling a Switch bundle that includes the title as well.

As seen in the tweet below, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch bundle will include the hybrid mobile console, Joy-Con controllers and dock branded after the crossover fighting release, and the game itself in the form of a download code. While some may have preferred to receive a physical copy of the title, it makes sense as to why a download code is included, as the bundle comes out at the start of November, while the game hits store shelves during the first week of December.

Nintendo's announcement of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch bundle should appease fans of the fighting game franchise, as there will likely be many who supplement their purchase of the package with the Pro Controller branded after the game. Then there will be the droves of other players who decide the SSBU experience will only be complete once they obtain a set of Gamecube-themed Switch controllers manufactured by HORI.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch bundle should be a hot item once the holiday season rolls around, but for anyone who has yet to acquire the hybrid mobile console yet and wants to play games on it as soon as it's bought, they will need to have other games on hand until SSBU comes out. Thankfully, with such fantastic titles as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey available on the platform, too, players have a solid selection of titles to enjoy while waiting for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to release on December 7, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.
