A recent mod lets Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans take control of the YouTube star MrBeast. The massive YouTube personality has over 112 million subscribers on the platform and is best known for his elaborate competitions with extravagant cash prizes. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players can now battle as their favorite YouTube star.

Bandai Namco and series creator Masahiro Sakurai developed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. The latest installment in the Super Smash Bros. series, the crossover fighting game features a variety of Nintendo characters. It also includes many characters from third-party companies like Konami, Sega, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, PlatinumGames, Disney, and more.

Despite its large and diverse roster of characters, Super Smash Bros. has never featured a playable YouTuber before. However, Modder LN_310 finally changed this with the new MrBeast mod available on the website GameBanana. It is worth clarifying that the mod adds MrBeast as a skin for the existing Super Smash Bros. fighter Solid Snake rather than an entirely new character. This means that the massively popular YouTuber MrBeast will use Snake’s standard move set when players take control of him in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, the mod replaces more than just Snake’s appearance, featuring new voice lines and other cosmetic changes.

The mod’s features include replacing Solid Snake’s grenades with hamburgers. While primarily a YouTube star, MrBeast also started various other businesses, such as his chocolate company Feastables and the MrBeast Burger virtual restaurants. The inclusion of burgers as MrBeast’s weapon in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a nice nod to this side business. The mod’s voice lines also use clips of MrBeasts actual voice. And while not all the audio clips are a perfect fit, it adds to the mod’s authenticity.

LN_310’s mod also lets Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players choose between a few different outfits for MrBeast. These include the mod giving him six different hoodies in varied colors and featuring different logos. Among them are two different MrBeast hoodies and one for MrBeast Burgers. The mod also includes a version of MrBeast in a safari hat and two skins for fans who want to play as a MrBeast wearing a robot helmet.

Super Smash Bros. fans are always eager to see new characters coming to the game. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting any new characters after the addition of Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora with the game’s final DLC. Meanwhile, Masahiro Sakurai’s semi-retirement raises the possibility that the series is truly over. Thus, fans need to turn to mods like this if they want to scratch their itch for new characters.
