At E3 2019, Nintendo officially confirmed that Dragon Quest's Hero would be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as the game's next DLC character. Prior to this announcement, many rumors had already pointed to Hero as a forthcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character, but it was still nice for it to be made official. Since then, many fans have been patiently waiting for details on when Hero will arrive, and it appears that information will be available very soon.
Specifically, Nintendo will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation on Tuesday, July 30 at 6am PDT, and it will focus directly on SSBU's Hero. An "in-depth look," it is indicated that this Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC presentation will last approximately 22 minutes, and it will offer "new details" and the release date for Hero. As per usual, game director Masahiro Sakurai will be presiding over the presentation.
With this presentation only days away, fans do not have much longer to wait before the official Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Hero release date has been confirmed, but that has not stopped some players from speculating about when it might be. Indeed, some believe that Nintendo will release Hero the same day as the presentation, but this should certainly not be considered definitive prior to word from Nintendo.
With the release of Hero, the SSBU roster grows ever larger, but it is certainly still not complete. Alongside Hero, Banjo-Kazooie was confirmed as a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character during E3 2019. Furthermore, the SSBU Fighter Pass includes two more fighters, which means there are definitely a lot of exciting DLC announcements for Smash fans to look forward to.
Furthermore, Evo 2019, which will feature a massive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament, is just around the corner, and it is thus guaranteed that there will be many eyes upon Nintendo's crossover fighting game this weekend. While it remains to be seen if players will have had a chance to play with Hero before the tournament begins, it is at least certain that they will know the release date for this next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter.
