Perhaps the biggest news from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recently is the announcement that Tekken's Kazuya will be a playable fighter, but Nintendo isn't done revealing new content. The company released a fresh trailer that shows Dante, from Devil May Cry, will also sort of be joining the cast. A new Mii Fighter costume of the devil hunter will be available soon, along with three other costumes from other popular franchises.

While it wasn't the exact way players wanted Dante to come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's certainly better than nothing. Nintendo announced the next line-up of Mii Fighter costumes, which include Lloyd, from Tales of Symphonia, Shantae, from the Shantae series, the Dragonborn, from Skyrim, and Dante. They will all be available as costumes for the Swordfighter Mii, with the exception of Shantae, who is a Brawler. Interested fans can check out the announcement trailer to see the costumes in action.

This marks the 10th Mii Fighter Costume pack, which will release on June 29, 2021, alongside Kazuya. The newest fighter was announced during E3 2021, where Nintendo arguably stole the conference when it not only revealed the new character, but also Metroid Dread and a new trailer for Breath of the Wild 2. The Kazuya announcement came after a very humorous trailer that showed the character dropping other fighters from the game off a cliff, as is tradition in the Mishima family. Later, Nintendo took time to show Kazuya's attacks and abilities in a gameplay video.

It appears players are never able to accurately guess what playable fighters are coming next to the game because Nintendo has a habit of surprising fans. No one expected a character from Tekken to join the ranks, but it was a welcome sight. Players are already suggesting Kazuya's victory screen. Nintendo has done well to include a lot of the character's quirks from the series already, so it probably has a good one planned.

With the release of Kazuya, there remains one more open spot on the Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. As always, fans are speculating on who it will be. While Nintendo has been flexible with the many, many franchises it has included, there are still limitations. There are a lot of characters that players want to join, such as Master Chief from the Halo series and Doom Guy from DOOM. However, they will probably just have to accept Doom Guy is probably never joining the game. Dante has also been an often-requested fighter and his inclusion as a costume feels like Nintendo is throwing fans a bone.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
