The newest fighter of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to be revealed tomorrow, October 1. Many fans are eagerly awaiting the exciting news, and specifically, they are hoping for two video game icons to finally join the Smash Bros. Ultimate roster.

The massive roster in Ultimate spans decades of video games, and now stretches far beyond the realm of Nintendo alone. The game with the slogan "Everyone is Here!" has a roster of over 70 fighters. And by the time the Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 is complete, the roster count will be pushing 90. With the likes of Joker, Cloud, and Terry Bogard being added to the game, the options seem limitless as to who is coming next. Many fans are hoping that the time will finally come for much-asked-for entries in the game: Crash and Sora.

Crash (who will see Crash Bandicoot 4 release in two days) didn't seem very possible only a few years ago. But now that the once PlayStation exclusive mutant eastern barred bandicoot has found his way to Nintendo via the Switch, it is possible that he will finally be added to the roster of Smash Bros Ultimate. Crash has been trending on Twitter today, as fans anticipate his possible reveal tomorrow.

Even though Crash Bandicoot is now published by Activision, the idea of the once PlayStation mascot making its way inside of a Nintendo published title is quite wild. Still, Nintendo has partnered with the likes of Xbox to get Banjo and Kazooie into Smash Bros., so anything is possible.

Another character that fans really want to see is Sora, who is also trending on Twitter. The upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will have an exclusive feature for the Switch, proving that Nintendo and Square Enix are playing nice together, as they did in getting both Cloud and Hero (from Dragon Quest) onto the Ultimate roster.

Sora would be a shocking addition as well, although at this point fans are expecting and hoping for a surprising third party type reveal. For the most part, the roster additions have come from Japanese developed games, which would make Sora a better possibility than Crash. But Banjo-Kazooie changed the dynamics, making all options feel like they are on the table.

Crash and Sora have topped the lists of most wanted Smash Bros. fighters for some time. Characters like Geno, Rayman, and Steve from Minecraft are also often requested. Currently, there are some rumors that the character could be from Overwatch, but that should be taken with a grain of salt as well. In just a day fans will be able to learn who the next fighter is, and whoever that is will probably be trending on Twitter as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
