One of E3 2019's biggest announcements across the board was that of Banjo-Kazooie coming as DLC to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While it was previously believed that Banjo and Kazooie would be arriving in Fall 2019, an in-store advertisement in Japan is leading many to believe that Banjo could be arriving much sooner than his expected Fall arrival.

Ever since Rare departed from their relationship with Nintendo, the Banjo-Kazooie property has been largely dormant. With the exception of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, there haven't been any big developments in the series. While rumors have persisted that Banjo-Kazooie will be making a comeback, anything substantial beyond Banjo's participation in fighting other video game characters has not materialized.

Nonetheless, Banjo and Kazooie's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrival is very significant, and many fans eagerly await it. The characters had originally been slated for a Fall 2019 release. However, an in-store advertisement poster found in a Japanese 7-11 suggests that the characters' Smash Bros. release is much closer than initially thought

Twitter user PushDustin tweeted the above images of the poster. A date in the top right corner of the advertisement with Banjo and Kazooie on it is what has people thinking their availability will come sooner rather than later. September 15, 2019 is the date shown at the top righthand corner of the poster.

It is quite possible that the ad doesn't really have any significance. September 15, 2019, is simply the date that the poster will be taken down. As such, the poster could just be an early advertisement for Banjo.

However, it would also make sense to release an advertisement for Banjo and Kazooie just before their release. A recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leak suggested Banjo would be arriving in late September. Specifically, the leak mentioned that Banjo and Kazooie would be coming to the game on September 24 or September 25. If the poster will be up until September 15, Banjo and Kazooie's appearance on the advertisement would still be relatively fresh on the minds of everybody until the leaked release dates. Hopefully, Smash fans will know more soon about Banjo and Kazooie's release date in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
