Ever since DLC characters were first introduced to the series in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, rumors and speculation have run rampant among Smash fans, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been no exception. The game has added some of the series' most fan-requested characters as DLC fighters, such as Banjo & Kazooie, Steve from Minecraft, and most recently, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7.

With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's second Fighters Pass just reaching its halfway point upon Sephiroth's release, there are still 3 more empty slots on the game's roster waiting to be filled. Although supposed leakers and industry insiders are closely watched when it comes to Smash, there is one forum post that has recently caught the attention of the community.

The forum 4chan has become notorious for serving as a grounds for video game leaks, especially when it comes to Super Smash Bros. Now, a 4chan post made in May of 2020 is picking up steam for accurately predicting the first 3 fighters that have since released in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's second Fighters Pass - Min Min, Steve, and Sephiroth.

With 4chan being an anonymous message board, there is currently no way to judge the validity of the post, but assuming this prediction holds weight, it may tell players who their next 3 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters are. In addition to correctly predicting the first 3 characters included in the game's second Fighters Pass prior to Min Min's June 29 release date, an anonymous user predicted that the remaining DLC fighters will be Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, Doomguy from Doom, and Rayman. It is worth noting that while the anonymous user predicted both Min Min and Ninjara as the ARMS representatives instead of just Min Min, it could be argued that this was the result of the extended process developers went through when trying to decide which ARMS character to include, as mentioned in a Nintendo Direct presentation on March 26.

Many speculated that Doomguy would be the character announced during this year's The Game Awards, since the awards show landed on Doom's anniversary and DOOM Eternal had released on the Nintendo Switch just a few days prior. Additionally, Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa has long been requested by fans, with many believing that it is just a matter of time before the iconic ninja joins the all-star Smash roster.

And it may as well not be a Smash leak if Rayman isn't included, as the cheeky character has also rumored for the series for quite some time, with one fan even going out of their way to conjure fake leaks of Rayman in Smash back in 2015. While each of these characters has surely earned their spot on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's ambitious roster, only time will tell if they'll get the chance to brawl with the best of them.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
