Following in the footsteps of the Japanese attraction, the theme park will contain areas featuring popular Nintendo characters, such as Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, with visitors able to experience Warp Pipes, Piranha Plants, and Bowser’s Castle.

Other areas of the theme park will feature further Nintendo characters, with visitors to the Japanese park enjoying Yoshi’s Adventure and Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge rides, with the latter using augmented reality to display characters and items as you race to get the winner’s trophy. In addition, the Japanese Super Nintendo World confirmed a Donkey Kong expansion recently, which should consist of new roller coasters and interactive experiences.

Universal Studios Hollywood has also confirmed there will be a feature presentation store opening soon containing exclusive Super Nintendo World merchandise, and some gamers will be looking forward to purchasing unique items in the near future. Universal Studios is also scheduled to develop Super Nintendo World at other sites, such as in Orlando, Florida, although with the Japanese Super Nintendo World opening delayed on a number of occasions, it could be some time before other sites open.
