Mario Party 10 Amiibo

Nintendo has plenty on its plate for the upcoming spring season, and yet it has still managed to include a nice surprise on the new Mario Party 10 website. Three new amiibo were subtly added to the list of compatible figures for the game without any announcement from Nintendo, prompting some confusion on which wave these amiibo are part of – while it's likely they're a part of an expected Mario Party 10 wave, we'll have to wait for official word.

Nintendo's latest batch of images gives fans the first look of the new designs for Wario, Donkey Kong and Rosalina. Since one of the characters is already a part of Nintendo's Spring 2015 Smash Bros. amiibo lineup (with the other two already seeing a release), it's looking likely that these will be added to the previously announced Super Mario line of amiibo. It's unclear if the alleged gold and silver amiibos could be part of this release, but we'll keep you updated as details pour out.

The last time fans saw Rosalina, she was a Target exclusive amiibo. Obviously, the closing of Target Canada impeded these sales for those in the icy lands of the north, and made it a difficult time for collectors – so a second wave of new Rosalina amiibos is quite welcome, though she could very well end up being one of the most difficult amiibo to collect. She's also going solo without Luma this time around, making her noticeably different from her Smash-centric figure.

Wario's return, sans motorcycle gear, makes him a must-have for collectors as well. Whilst Donkey Kong is simply brandishing a new pose, the other two amiibo bring fresh looks from their closet, and we wouldn't be surprised to see them sell out well before the longstanding Nintendo veteran Donkey Kong.

The next batch of amiibo will likely be revealed before or on March 20th to coincide with the launch of Mario Party 10, so we'll keep you updated on when gamers can expect these beloved collectibles to arrive on store shelves around the world.
