Super Mario Odyssey has released to unprecedented critical acclaim, becoming the highest-rated video game to date in the process. One reason why many reviewers have heaped praise on Mario's latest adventure is because of its wealth of content, with Super Mario Odyssey having a rather extensive endgame and bonus goals for players to complete.

In order to fully complete Super Mario Odyssey, players will have to collect thousands of gold coins, which are used to purchase costumes, hints from Toad, and even Power Moons. In fact, if players want to collect all 999 Power Moons in the game, they will need to shell out quite a bit of cash to do so.

Luckily for Super Mario Odyssey players that are struggling to collect enough gold coins, there is one method that allows them to earn coins rather quickly, with players guaranteed nearly 200 coins every time they do it. The best place to farm gold coins in Super Mario Odyssey is by heading to Bowser's Kingdom and fast-traveling to the Beneath the Keep checkpoint.

Once here, turn around and go to Mario's right. Climb onto the roof and then walk toward the coin rings. Instead of jumping down through the rings, go to the right again and follow the roof to the end. Jump down to the lower section of the roof to find a seed, which can then be planted in the nearby planter.

Upon planting the seed, a vine will grow, so hop on and ride it to the top. This will transport Mario to a bonus stage in the clouds where players can easily amass nearly 200 coins in seconds. After the bonus stage is complete, players can keep repeating it to farm for as many coins as they like.

Of course, gold coins aren't the only ones players need to collect in Super Mario Odyssey. Each kingdom also has its fair share of purple coins, which are used to buy kingdom-exclusive items. Anyone that wants to earn 100% in Super Mario Odyssey will need to collect thousands upon thousands of gold coins in addition to the purple coins hidden throughout the kingdoms.

Super Mario Odyssey is available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
