All of the old-school Nintendo fans cannot resist Super Mario 64. This game invites players into a classic Mario setting of Princess Peach's castle. They guide him through Goombas, Koopas, Dry Bones, chain chomps, and all of the other well-known monsters. The end goal is to save the lovely Peach from Bowser's captivity.

Along the way, players collect hidden stars within each level. Once players collect a total of 70 stars, Mario fights Bowser for the final time and rescues Peach. Finding the stars is rather difficult in some of the levels such as Bob-Omb Battlefield. That is why there is a guide below on how to collect all of the stars at Bob-Omb Battlefield. Let's-a go!

7 First Star

The Big Bomb-Omb holds star one at the very top of its mountain for Mario to retrieve. Players begin by crossing over the bridge and following the main path. Turn left and hold onto the wall to continue, but be careful of the chain chomp! Next, carefully walk over the unstable bridge and follow the arrows to the fence.

The arrows lead players to a hill where Mario can reach the top of the mountain. Watch for the flying balls though! Refill Mario's lives with the heart icon somewhere on the path and be ready to fight the Big Bomb-Omb. Don't get too close or else it will toss Mario off the mountain and you're back at square one. Hit the Big Bomb-Omb against the mountain three times by holding down the B button. Grab that star!

6 Second Star

Slow and steady does not win the race for star two. Players must race against the Quick Koopa to the top of the mountain to earn the star. The objective is simple, but Mario has to be on his game! The best way to reach the star faster is to bare left on the first bridge. Dodge the chain chomp on the next rickety bridge, then go left up the hill.

Here, players reach the main walkway up the mountain. Watch out for the balls rolling down! Mario must make sure to long jump over the final gap or else he has to start over. Once players reach the top, they must tap the flag and wait for Quick Koopa to hand over the star.

5 Third Star

Star three is one of the easiest to retrieve. Simply shoot Mario out of the cannon so he lands perfectly on the sky-island that contains the star. Players can figure out where the island is by looking at a red coin in the sky. Travel to the titled ramp and clear the fence. This brings Mario to the very top of the cannon that is poking through the ground.

Climb inside the cannon and title Mario's head upwards. Shoot him out and land on the island. Don't get too cocky though! Players must make sure to aim the cannon just right so Mario lands right on the ground of the island. Players can also aim at the tree on the island so Mario can cling to it when he lands. The star is in a yellow box, so Mario has to break it open to access the star.

4 Fourth Star

Mario has to collect 8 red coins to get star four, and these coins can be hard to find. The first is towards the left when the elevated platform reaches its highest point. The second coin is on top of a pile of rocks, so hold down B and jump up there! The third red coin is dangerous because it is on a chain chomp's pole.

Mario has to be slick! Conveniently, the fourth and fifth coins are on the left hanging out in the grass. Next, bare right to the sixth coin which is under a bridge near the mountain. Get out from under the bridge and climb the nearby hill to get coin number seven. Following the path up the mountain, shoot Mario out of the cannon towards the eighth coin. Retrieve it at the top of the tree.

3 Fifth Star

Players must have 10 power stars to get star five. They can collect them throughout the levels leading up to Bob-Omb Battlefield. Once players have the power stars, shoot Mario to the sky-island. Break open the box with a question mark on it and get the wing cap inside. Using the wing cap, climb into the other cannon and aim it towards the coin rings.

Players must line up the cannon so Mario shoots through the centers on the coin rings. Collect the five coins in the centers. Players have multiple tries to get all five coins. Mario retrieves the star once he collects the five coins. Drift down using the sing cap to grab it!

2 Sixth Star

The objective for star six is simple but players must be careful. A chain chomp has to get the star for Mario this time. Players must set a chain chomp free from a stake in the ground. Simply ground pound near the chain chomp three times and his chain unwraps from the stake.

The chain chomp breaks through the nearby gate collecting the star once he is through. Players have to be careful when ground-pounding to not get too close. In addition, they must be careful when chain chomp is breaking through the gate that he doesn't hit Mario. These are frustrating ways to lose lives!

1 Seventh Star

Star seven is an extra star that is for perfectionists, but very worth it. Once Mario collects 100 coins, he can get the seventh star. It's as simple as that! 100 coins sound like a lot, but players collect more coins than they realize throughout the level without trying. Players usually start with 16 coins at the beginning because they collect 8 red coins. Some of the coins are secretly in large stones, so throw small stones at them or punch them open.

Many Goombas and Bob-Ombs have coins inside of them, so make sure Mario stomps on them. Defeat as many monsters as possible to get extra coins. There are many random rows and rings of coins throughout the level as well. Furthermore, Mario has access to coins in the sky by using the wing cap.
