A new rumor cropped up on Reddit today claiming that Amazon had briefly put up a listing for a Super Mario Collection for the Nintendo Switch. Screenshots of the listing were shared, with the listing featuring an official-looking placeholder box art. This isn't the first that a Super Mario Collection for the Switch has been heard of, but an Amazon listing certainly isn't reliable.

In late March a report was circulated that Nintendo was working on a Super Mario Collection that would bundle remastered versions of Nintendo's 3D Mario games. The bundle would include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

The Amazon listing for the Super Mario Collection, unfortunately, didn't offer any corroborative information. No games were listed for the collection. In fact, no description was provided for the collection whatsoever. The only potentially interesting information on the page was a release date of November 13, 2020. This is a Friday, the weekday Nintendo typically launches its games.

The unfortunate truth is that Amazon Listings are relatively easy to fake, as are simplistic box arts like what was on the profile. There's nothing on the Amazon listing that proves that the Super Mario Collection exists. Nevertheless, it's also possible that it's real. And with the previous reports about the Super Mario Collection, speculation is all but certain to flare up again.

If the Super Mario Collection exists and if Amazon is preparing to post a profile of the game for pre-orders, the announcement could be coming soon. If that's true, perhaps there's a Nintendo Direct coming soon, filling the role of what would be Nintendo's E3 press conference. Fans will just have to wait and see.
