There aren't many upcoming Nintendo-published Switch games that have dates on the calendar for 2021 just yet. However, one exception to that is the upcoming Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, which is expected to launch on February 12, exclusively for the Switch. Since Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is a port of a Wii U game, one would think that fans already know everything there is to know about it, but it will actually have some new content for fans to check out as well.

So far, very little is known about the Bowser's Fury part of the Super Mario 3D World Switch release. However, it seems as though more information on it should come to light sooner rather than later. As pointed out by NintendoLife, the official Super Mario 3D World website has gone live, confirming that more information on Bowser's Fury should be coming soon. With the game set to launch on February 12, one has to imagine that the details would be revealed sometime between now and then, unless Nintendo decides to keep a lid on it until launch day. The "full site" for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is also said to be coming soon, though, so fans should hopefully learn more sooner rather than later.

The Super Mario 3D World website also reaffirms some previously-revealed information about the game. As previously confirmed, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury supports online co-op, which was completely absent in the original release. Nintendo has a habit of supporting local co-op and multiplayer over online options, so it's nice to see a Nintendo game come out that supports both local and online play.

And finally, the Super Mario 3D World website also reaffirms amiibo support for the game. The Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo will both be compatible with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, with players able to use them to get power-ups in the game. It's possible that the game will have expanded amiibo support beyond that, but if so, Nintendo hasn't revealed those details just yet.

If Nintendo is planning to reveal more about Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury soon, it will be interesting to see exactly how it does it. A new Nintendo Direct presentation would be the most exciting way, as it would not only give fans new information about Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, but new information on upcoming Switch games in general. However, it's also possible Nintendo will have a presentation focused exclusively on Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, or it may just drop a trailer.

Whatever the case may be, here's hoping Nintendo pulls the curtain back on the Bowser's Fury part of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury soon so Switch owners can stop speculating about what it will entail.
