The adorable and deadly battle royale game Super Animal Royale will be coming to consoles soon after a wildly successful release on Steam. Though a launch date for Xbox consoles has been announced, the release date for other consoles has yet to be revealed.

Super Animal Royale first released on PC in Early Access back in December 2018, accruing "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam. Battle royales and massive multiplayer have seen large success in the gaming community in recent years, ranging from titles like PUBG and Fortnite to wackier ones like 2020's Fall Guys. Like Mediatonic's hit, Super Animal Royale puts a wackier spin on battle royales. Everyone plays as an animal against over 60 other opponents, but they can use more than guns to defeat others, such as hamster balls and banana peels.

Soon, Super Animal Royale will make its way to consoles as well, including last-gen and next-gen. On June 1, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S players will get to experience the chaos as part of the Xbox Game Preview program, with the game's full Version 1.0 launching at some point later this year.

As for Switch, Stadia, and PlayStation versions of the game, Super Animal Royale hasn't announced a release date for them yet, but the game's website FAQ page hints that it will release alongside Version 1.0. Additionally, cross-save and cross-play between all versions including Stadia will be available.

June 1 will also see the release of a major update to Super Animal Royale regarding the Beach Party Pass, the next Animal Pass, or this game's version of a battle pass. The Beach Party Pass will contain beach gear, costumes, and more for 550 SAW tickets.

Super Animal Royale is out now for PC and is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on June 1. PlayStation, Stadia, and Switch versions are coming at a later date.
