Tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct Will Highlight Summer Wii U & 3DS Lineup

By | 4 years ago

The emergence of Nintendo Directs have given fans of the Big N plenty of insight into the company’s upcoming products. Whether players own a Nintendo 3DS or a Wii U, Ninty has kept the trickle of news pertaining to each of its systems steady through its simultaneously broadcast presentations.

One of the best parts about the reoccurring broadcasts is that they are almost always filled to the brim with surprises. Whether it be a new Legend of Zelda for the 3DS or a sneak peek at a few upcoming Wii U titles, there’s always some new form of gaming-related information that can be drawn from the Direct showcases, and tomorrow’s newly announced Nintendo Direct should be no exception.

Nintendo confirmed today that it plans on hosting another online event for its fans, but this one will focus entirely on games that are scheduled to land on the 3DS and Wii U this Summer. This makes the likes of Pikmin 3 and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team viable topics for discussion (amongst other titles), but it’s what the house of Mario has yet to reveal that’ll be the most intriguing.

If we were to fathom a guess, an official date for The Wonderful 101 sounds likely — and a release date for Earthbound on the Wii U Virtual Console is almost a given — but it’ll be interesting to see if the Big N can muster up any surprises.

With E3 2013 quickly approaching, Nintendo confirmed that it plans on airing another Direct (instead of an E3 press conference) that addresses its software lineup for the Fall season and onwards, so don’t expect to see anything on Super Smash Bros. 4 quite yet.

The Nintendo Direct will be airing tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET, and can be viewed on the Nintendo Direct site or Nintendo’s official Facebook page. Game Rant will be covering any major revelations that emerge from the event, so be sure to stay tuned.
