The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has caused E3 2020 to be canceled, and so Summer Game Fest has stepped up to take its place. This month was set to be the biggest month for Summer Game Fest, but the death of George Floyd and the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests have convinced many game companies to delay their plans. This in turn has thrown the Summer Game Fest June 2020 schedule into chaos, with a number of dates reshuffled again.

After the latest round of delays, the only Summer Game Fest event still scheduled for June 9 is Destiny 2: The Next Chapter, where Bungie plans on pulling the curtain back on the next big thing for its looter-shooter. The Guerrilla Collective has been delayed to June 13, along with the PC Gaming Show and Future Games Show.

The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition is now taking place from June 16 to 22, and the Upload VR Showcase will take place on June 16 as well. Electronic Arts has confirmed that its EA Play event has been pushed back from June 11 to June 18, and the Cyberpunk 2077 presentation is now taking place on June 25.

In the meantime, there are some Summer Game Fest events for June 2020 that have kept their dates. This includes the Developer Showcase on June 22, New Game+ Expo on June 23, the Marvel's Avengers War Table on June 24, and the BitSummit Gaiden event on June 27.

Unfortunately, there are some June Summer Game Fest events that have been delayed indefinitely and still have no new dates. Sony still has yet to announce a new date for the highly anticipated PS5 game reveal event, though it has promised that news will be coming soon. Blizzard has also pushed back the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands livestream that was originally scheduled to take place on June 9 with no new date announced so far.

It's possible that more information on these dateless events will come next week. A datamine has suggested that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 will start on June 10 after having been delayed in support of the protests, so perhaps next week will see new information come to light. Then again, next week could see more Summer Game Fest delays instead.
