A new clip from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League shows a shocking confrontation between Wonder Woman and The Flash. The clip came from an extended preview of the upcoming game during Sony's most recent State of Play presentation. It was one of several new pieces of information the developers revealed about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was initially revealed in the summer of 2020. The premise for the game was simple but effective; the minds of the main members of the Justice League have been taken over by longtime DC supervillain Brainiac, and it's up to the Suicide Squad to take them down. In the years since its initial unveiling, the developer has been gradually revealing more of the Justice League's corrupted members and how they will factor into the plot. Now fans have a better idea as to what role Wonder Woman and The Flash will play in the upcoming game.

Gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was first revealed in 2021 and the latest State of Play has expanded on this. The footage presented showed the various members of Task Force X taking on Brainiac's forces while trying to rescue Lex Luthor. The footage ends with The Flash attempting to prevent them from doing so before he is stopped by Wonder Woman who has not fallen under Brainiac's influence. With the Lasso of Truth wrapped around him, The Flash tells Wonder Woman that in order to save the world they have to kill the Justice League much to her disbelief.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn't the only game Wonder Woman has appeared in. In both Injustice: Gods Among Us and Injustice 2 the character appeared as a protagonist and antagonist and even helped fight against Brainiac in the latter game. A solo open-world Wonder Woman game is in development from Monolith Productions but that game is likely still a long way off. For now, it appears as if fans will have to be content with her appearance in the upcoming Suicide Squad game.

The initial trailer for the game only showed the titular characters taking on Superman. Later trailers and gameplay footage would add to this by revealing The Flash as one of the game's biggest antagonists. Late last year, it was also revealed that the late Kevin Conroy would voice Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This is the first time gamers have seen Wonder Woman in the upcoming game and while she hasn't been taken over by Brainiac, it is unknown how much of an ally she will be to Task Force X considering what needs to be done.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on May 26, 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
