Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a lot of excitement and promotional material centred toward the four playable protagonists of the titular squad.

Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark have all received attention in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's key art pieces, and the game's most recent cinematic trailer revealed Amanda Waller as well as a few members of the Justice League. While there has not been any actual gameplay shared from the game as of yet, there is now reason to believe that Rocksteady has something to show off soon.

Recently, The Game Awards 2021 has confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will appear. Gameplay of any kind has not been confirmed for The Game Awards tomorrow, although the developer has planted hints that allude to a reveal finally happening. Rocksteady has all but explicitly stated that fans can expect a long-awaited Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gameplay reveal with Rocksteady having broken out "the appetizers" that fans have been asking for since Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s official announcement trailer at DC FanDome 2020.

Gameplay, in this case, is most likely what is referred to as “appetizers.” Indeed, Rocksteady appears to acknowledge that fans have waited a long time to see legitimate gameplay footage and, with Rocksteady co-founder and Creative Director Sefton Hill sharing a clip that looks like in-game gameplay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the developer's hints seem to point toward a gameplay reveal for tomorrow.

Fans previously believed that a gameplay trailer would be featured at DC FanDome, though those hopes were evidently dashed. If gameplay is in fact revealed tomorrow, The Game Awards would certainly be the stage to do so on. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's announcement is a surprise that had been snuck into Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards hype trailer for eagle-eyed fans who may now look forward to tomorrow's awards ceremony for a new look at the game.

If gameplay is still not shown by tomorrow night, then perhaps another trailer of sorts is in store for players. But with each appearance Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League makes it becomes increasingly probable that a gameplay showcase is due. Come The Game Awards tomorrow, eager fans may hopefully get to see what Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s gameplay will entail.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to release in 2022 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
