DC FanDome is just a couple of hours away as of this writing, but many fans are excited to see all the properties that will be there. This includes movies like The Batman and Aquaman 2, as well as video games like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Gotham Knights. The latter two have been teasing their presence for the past week or so, and a recently released snippet for the event has captured many fans’ attention.

This one-minute snippet includes just a couple of seconds of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but it’s not the characters or the guns that caught fans' eyes. As seen below, just behind them, there is a statue of the Flash. Now, this doesn’t outright confirm he’ll serve as one of the “antagonists” in the game, but there is other, circumstantial evidence that suggests he might.

First off, this statue has led some to believe that this scene takes place at the Hall of Justice, where statues of the heroes would make sense. It’s an appropriate location too, given Suicide Squad’s subtitle of Kill The Justice League; however, the only corrupted member of the Justice League revealed thus far is Superman. This teaser may suggest, then, that at least The Flash will be confirmed today at DC FanDome, if not the entire Justice League fans will face.

It’s also worth pointing out that Captain Boomerang, one of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s playable characters, is a member of The Flash’s rogues gallery—outside the Suicide Squad designation. As such, it would make sense to face off with the Flash at some point, and in turn, that would likely bode well for many Justice League characters in Suicide Squad.

For example, if The Flash is appearing as a direct antagonist to Captain Boomerang, it would be interesting if Batman does somehow appear in this universe as a direct antagonist to Harley Quinn (despite following up on the Arkham series where he supposedly dies but is teased to be alive somehow). This would line up an Aquaman fight for King Shark, and so on. In other words, it makes the most sense for most, if not all, members of the Justice League to appear, but certain ones would have a bigger in-game impact.

For now, it remains to be seen what The Flash’s statue appearance means for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but it stands to reason fans may see him in proper action soon.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League releases in 2022 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
