Minecraft continues to see incredible success in 2022, with fans still playing years after it was originally released. Over the years, Minecraft has offered players plenty of skins that add a unique look and feel to a player's themed world. These Minecraft skins are sometimes based on TV shows and movies, such as Star Wars, Stranger Things, and even Guardians of the Galaxy. To this day, the game is still offering new skins and updates to its devoted fanbase.

Some of these Minecraft skins are collaborations with other video games, where players can dress their characters in various crossover costumes. Last year, Minecraft received a Sonic-themed DLC, which provided plenty of content for fans to enjoy. This included the ability to travel a custom world of classic Sonic the Hedgehog levels, rendered in Minecraft's style. The DLC included several skins for players to choose from, with characters like Sonic himself, his rival Shadow, or even Metal Sonic. The latest DLC coming to Minecraft is another collaboration, this time with Capcom's fighting game franchise Street Fighter.

The first trailer of this collaboration was posted on the Minecraft Marketplace Twitter account, noting that these are a set of officially approved skins by Capcom, created by 57Digital. This pack will bring 35 different skins based on fan favorite characters from Street Fighter to the game, including Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and more. The trailer even shows off some that are a part of the pack, with a recreation of Street Fighter's character select screen.

This collaboration has some notable timing, as Capcom is celebrating 35 years of Street Fighter this year. Minecraft is also giving players the chance to celebrate as well, where this pack will be offering one free Character Creator item to be claimed, along with twelve paid character creator items. This allows players to customize their player character to their heart's content. Certain emotes will also be available through this collaboration, such as one that replicates Ryu's headband pose.

Street Fighter has already crossed over with plenty of franchises in the past, but this year started with some new collaboration announcements in the past few months. These collaborations include Street Fighter Magic The Gathering Cards to a special Spirit Event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that added Evil Ryu. With Street Fighter's 35th Anniversary on the horizon, this collaboration with Minecraft is another way for fans to celebrate.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
