While Street Fighter 6 was revealed earlier this year, it was a brief teaser trailer that showed off some of its characters in a new realistic art style. The recent State of Play presentation from Sony, however, gave fans an in-depth look at what to expect for the upcoming sequel, with a trailer going further into the content it will provide. This includes a brief overview of Street Fighter 6's new single-player mode, World Tour, as well as some of the characters that will be returning in this entry.Luke and Ryu were already confirmed to be returning to Street Fighter 6, since the initial teaser trailer included both of them. However, this trailer also gave a look at new character Jamie, who utilizes a drunken boxing style, with some breakdancing moves thrown in as well. The original fighting game girl Chun-Li is also confirmed to be making a return, sporting a brand-new design. While these four have been officially revealed, concept art of Street Fighter 6 has been leaked online, providing a look into a possible starting roster of the game.RELATED: Street Fighter 6 Will Introduce New 'Drive' System, Modern Control SchemeThis concept art includes the four aforementioned characters and their designs, but also shows off eighteen additional fighters, which possibly brings the total to twenty-two characters for the starting roster. A number of additional characters from past Street Fighters, new and old, have redesigned looks. The entire original eight of Street Fighter 2, including Ken, Zangief, Guile, and Blanka are present, while newer characters like Juri, Ed, and Rashid also seem to be playable.

An entire set of new characters were also revealed in this concept art, with the aforementioned Jamie from Street Fighter 6's recent trailer being formally revealed. However, eagle-eyed viewers who were watching noticed another character known as Kimberly near the end, seen on a screen of the Battle Hub. This concept art suggests that she'll be a playable character as well. Other characters who could be new to this entry include a French woman named Mimi, an Italian boxer named Marisa, Lilly who hails from Mexico, an old Russian man named JP, and a mysterious Chinese woman named A.K.I. who could possibly be the game's antagonist based on her design.

Many people on Twitter took to the concept art quickly, with many praising the new designs present for most of the characters. Cammy, Juri, and Akuma's redesigns have been complimented, while the new characters introduced, Kimberly in particular, having received praise as well. This apparently lines up with a leak for Street Fighter 6 that had been posted on Reddit, with some details about how these characters will play. Fans should remember to take this information with a grain of salt until an official announcement, however.

Street Fighter 6 will launch in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
