While she's not an official addition to Street Fighter 5's roster, a fan of both Capcom's fighting game and of Nintendo's Metroid franchise has now created a new mod that adds Samus Aran in her Zero Suit to the PC version of the former title's cast of brawlers. The creation comes courtesy of the modder Khaledantar666, who used Street Fighter 5's Cammy as the base model, and the results are quite impressive.

As seen in the video for Street Fighter 5's unofficial new fighter below, Zero Suit Samus retains all of the same combos and abilities in Cammy's move-set, including her super moves. The Zero Suit Samus mod comes available in two different forms, one with containing all of her gear, and one without.

Although most members of the modding community–including those who create mods for Street Fighter 5–offer their creations for free, Khaledantar666 has the Zero Suit Samus mod walled behind a Patreon account. With that being the case, those who want to add Samus into the PC version of Capcom's fighting game will need to visit the link found at the bottom of the article to determine what they will need to pay and how to download the mod.

Of course, this Street Fighter 5 mod doesn't denote Samus Aran's first appearance in a fighting game. As many Nintendo fans will surely recall, this particular version of the Metroid character has been featured in the Big N's fighting title Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U.

Should Khaledantar666's Zero Suit Samus mod not scratch a certain crossover itch Street Fighter 5 fans are looking for, then they're in luck, as there are a plethora of mods that add characters from other video game franchises in to the Capcom fighting game. For instance, there are loads of Overwatch mods that add heroes from Blizzard's team-based first-person shooter into the game, such as Tracer, Sombra, and even Roadhog. Considering the popularity of these mods, maybe one day they will signal an official crossover fighting release that exclusively has Capcom and Blizzard characters.

Street Fighter 5 is out now for PC and PlayStation 4.
