The Novo in Los Angeles, California was host to this year's Capcom Cup and after three grueling days of intense matches, Idom took the victory against Punk in an amazing match after resetting the bracket in loser's. But after the Grand Finals AEW superstar and Street Fighter cosplayer Kenny Omega and Street Fighter 5 producer, Yoshinori Ono came on stage to show off the final character being added to Champion Edition: Seth.

The trailer starts off with the Capcom logo adorned with Seth's Tanden Engine as the "o", revealing right away who the next character is. Then a cybernetic brain is shown with the words "Doll Unit 0" in the bottom right. The Dolls are M. Bison's elite all-female assassin squad, of which Cammy was a part of when she was brainwashed as Killer Bee. According to the Capcom Unity blog for Street Fighter 5, Seth was never truly male or female and after being destroyed by Juri during the events of Street Fighter 4, Seth's biological brain was paired with the body of Doll Unit 0.

Seth has a plethora of new abilities in this form starting with the first of two V-Skills, the Tanden Engine. By landing this V-Skill on an opponent Seth can steal a preset special move from the opponent for a one time use before having to steal it again. The second V-Skill, a feature new to Champion Edition, is Tanden Booster, lets Seth dash forward from full screen, and pressing the V-Skill activation buttons again lets Seth stop immediately to block and avoid being punished. If one of Seth's special moves is used during the dash animation, they become far more powerful versions, similar to using an EX move. The Tanden Booster can also be combo'd into from Seth's target combo and standing heavy punch.

Seth's first V-Trigger, the Tanden Ignition, is a three-bar V-Trigger that gives Seth access to special follow-ups to all four special moves, following a unique teleport. The Tanden Ignition can also be used in conjunction with moves stolen by the Tanden Engine V-Skill. If this V-Trigger is active when activating Seth's critical art, it will do significantly more damage. Clearly Seth is far more powerful than he was in their previous incarnation in Ultra Street Fighter 4.

Seth's second V-Trigger, the Tanden Maneuver, summons a large sphere of energy that can be sent in any direction up to four times before disappearing. Or the sphere can remain left in place as a stationary projectile. If the opponent is hit by the sphere they will be sent skywards for a huge juggle opportunity. But if the opponent blocks it Seth is left at a massive frame advantage, as much as plus nine on block. The sphere can also be detonated at any time with Tanden Explode. Such a powerful move will surely have an impact on major tournaments like EVO, which is a stop on the Capcom Pro Tour for 2020.

Seth was known in Street Fighter 4 to be a mixup powerhouse with a wild assortment of special moves, making him more similar to a Marvel vs. Capcom character. This new version looks to continue that tradition of chaos, only intensified. Champion Edition is the latest version of Street Fighter 5 and includes 34 stages and over 200 costumes. Limited time costumes tied to certain events, like previous Capcom Cups, are not available sadly. But this is still the most complete version of Street Fighter 5 available to purchase.

If one already owns a copy of Street Fighter 5, whether physical or digital, they can purchase a digital upgrade right now for $24.99, five dollars lower than the price of Champion Edition. Players who purchase this pre-order upgrade will be able to access all of the Champion Edition content currently available, like the aforementioned DLC costumes and stages right away.

Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition releases on February 14, 2020 on Playstation 4 and PC.
