Twitch is one of the world's most popular streaming platforms, but the company is well-known for inexplicable bans and making mistakes when dealing with both streamers and viewers. One Twitch streamer is taking to social media to ask fans for help after Twitch reportedly failed to pay her earnings for the month of October.

Streamer bbjess started her Twitch career after being laid off during the pandemic. Apparently, she has a background in theater and that experience paid off when she was able to catapult herself to Twitch stardom in just one year. However, despite ranking in the top 0.04% of all creators on the platform, Twitch recently failed to pay her for her hard work.

On her official Twitter account, bbjess recently posted requesting the help--and the voices--of her fans regarding the issue of Twitch not paying its creators. According to the Twitch streamer, Twitch is reportedly withholding her pay for the month of October, which happens to be the month she cracked 8,000 subscribers. Her payout method is apparently functioning, which may raise the question of why Twitch has failed to pay her earnings, which would consist of "tens of thousands" of dollars. She goes on to note that she isn't the only Twitch creator who hasn't been paid.

According to bbjess, the streamer suspects that the missing payouts may be connected to her account being briefly banned from Twitch on October 20. She was suspended from the platform for a 19-hour window due to Twitch misinterpreting her iconic “bbjessBoobees” emotes, which depict a pair of bees wearing simplistic ghost costumes, for images of sexual content. Bbjess was quite outspoken about her ban, and she appears to be concerned that this failure of payment is Twitch deciding to punish her for speaking her mind. Although the streamer has stated that this is very unlikely, she has also confirmed that everything related to the payment system is working fine on her end, so the problem must be on Twitch's side.

Bbjess has received several messages from Twitch, but these replies--including an automated message and a help-line email--do not seem to have eased her concerns. The email in question told her that her October payment should be included in the batch of retries during the next payout cycle, which will presumably be in November. The streamer has also expressed frustration with the lack of response from Twitch's human employees.
