Much like some of the game's earlier chapters, Chapter 7 of Stray is a fairly linear affair, making navigation a lot more straightforward than it was in Chapter 6. Unfortunately, this simplicity does come at a rather high cost, with the Dead End chapter providing plenty of Zurks for players to worry about.

The good news is that players will finally get their hands on a weapon with which to combat the threat of these killer critters as they make their way through Chapter 7. They'll also be able to find a few more of B-12's memories, as well as another scratch spot to count towards Stray's "Territory" trophy.

How to Complete Chapter 7 of Stray

When the chapter first begins, players will need to follow Seamus and the tracker over to a locked gate. Sadly, the once-determined robot is afraid to accompany the player beyond this point, though does hand over the Outsider Badge so that Doc will know that the player is a friend. Upon passing through the gate, players can trigger one of B-12's memories by taking a left and examining the metal gate, after which they should head down the slope with the no entry signs at the top.

Doing so will trigger the first of several Zurk pursuits in Chapter 7, though by zigzagging a little and jumping over gaps whenever possible, players should have no trouble getting through it unscathed. That said, they should be sure to head through the tunnel in the center when faced with two sets of steps on the left and right, as taking either set of stairs will lead to a dead end and increase the chances of being caught.

Following the first pursuit section, players will need to do a bit of platforming in order to progress. There's nothing too complicated here, although players will need to jump on one of the yellow bars multiple times in order to swing it round far enough to reach the pipe next to the floating barrels. They'll then find themselves in a shopping cart that crushes a bunch of Zurks before catapulting the cute little kitty down to the hard ground below.

After taking a few moments to shake off their injuries, players will need to climb the pipes and barrels ahead of them to reach a new area. Heading straight here and passing through the gap in the chainlink fence will lead to another one of B-12's 27 memories. Taking a left and climbing over the fence near the red air conditioning unit, on the other hand, will take players to a new area with an eerie red glow.

Here, players should leap over the gap in the broken bridge and make their way to the back of the building that's directly in front of them. If they follow the yellow and black electrical cables, they'll find an open window, and heading inside and down the stairs will result in them finally finding Doc.

Though he seems to have given up hope of ever escaping, players can quickly change this by interacting with the weapon on his desk. While they're here, they should also interact with the Manequin for another one of B-12's memories and scratch the wall to the left of the desk as per the requirements of the "Territory" trophy.

Upon being reminded of his weapon, Doc will reveal that the Defluxor isn't working due to a blown fuse in a nearby transformer. Of course, he'll then ask players to replace the aforementioned fuse, which means heading back outside and over to the generator on the other side of the broken bridge. If players are having trouble finding it, they can again follow the black and yellow cables.

As soon as power is restored, Zurks will begin to pour out from all sides, though Doc will zap them with his special Zurk-exploding weapon if they happen to get too close. Players should lead the Zurks in Doc's blind spots out into the open rather than try to dodge them and then return through the open window once all of the Zurks are dead.

With the Defluxor now working again, Doc will attach it to B-12, allowing players to activate it whenever there are Zurks around by pressing the L1 button. It will overheat if used too often though, so players will need to be careful with how they use it.

After passing through the gate, players should head over to the two metal barrels. They'll need to roll the first one to the right in order to free the second, and then roll the second over to the left to grant access to a vent shaft up above. It's easy enough to spot thanks to the red glow coming from within.

If they pull the lever in this new area, players will be able to head through the door at the end of the corridor, through which are more Zurks that need to be destroyed. Players will then be able to approach the large metal shutter, which will open to reveal Doc being attacked by more Zurks. Upon being rescued and closing the shutter behind him, Doc will lead players back to the slums and Stray's eighth chapter, The Sewers.
