The Netflix hit horror show Stranger Things has received no shortage of critical acclaim and hype from its viewers, so it's no surprise that fans are taking time to praise the show in their own way. Today, a Stranger Things fan with the online name of Tekkhi released a masterful rendition of one of the most recognizable scenes from the show: Joyce's living room. Filled with Christmas lights, cryptic wall letters, and a chaotic mess of objects, the living room played an integral role in both seasons of the show.

Tekkhi faithfully recreated the room in Unreal Engine 4, doing the setting justice with high quality textures and accurate lighting. Fans who watch the rendering below will see everything from a flickering Stephen King movie on the period-appropriate television to hastily piled Halloween decorations, with the entire setting accurately reflecting both a single mother trying to keep up with two children, and the absolute chaos that unfolds over the first season of the show. It's unclear if Tekkhi will ever render the living room as its shown in the second season, but in any event, he certainly did the first season of Stranger Things justice.

Gamers can take a look at Tekkhi's Stranger Things render below:

Tekkhi realized shortly after releasing the video that there was a texture error on one of the alcohol bottles, a mistake which he has already adjusted for. However, the amended version of the Stranger Things scene won't be available until tomorrow - though the community seems to have forgiven the graphical oversight. Tekkhi states that he may continue working on the project, indicating that other Stranger Things scenes may get the same treatment. Truthfully, the overall quality of the faithful recreation is astounding, and may even look a little bit more snazzy than the official VR adaptation of the show itself.

The Stranger Things intellectual property has already stuck its roots in to gaming culture in other ways, too: a free mobile game has been released, and players can even play as Chief Hopper in a tie-in Minecraft skin pack. The show has been renewed for a third season on Netflix, so fans of the horror series can look forward to it remaining relevant for the foreseeable future. The storyline still has plenty of questions left to answer, meaning Joyce's living room may bear witness to even more horror.

Stranger Things is available now on Netflix.
