In his interview with Indie Wire, David Harbour shared what fans can expect from Hopper in the last two episodes of season 4 of Stranger Things. Harbour said, "It’s the race to the finish. What you’re gonna see is us sprinting as hard as we can — not only are you gonna see the Duffers sprinting there cinematically in this epic, extraordinary way, but you’re gonna see all the characters [doing] more and you’re gonna have these epic action sequences."

Habour continued, "In terms of Hopper’s arc, you’re gonna see him be more vulnerable and more powerful than you’ve ever seen, and I’m just so excited for you. I can’t talk about it anymore. I need you guys to watch. I think you’re gonna be blown away."

With questions about whether Stranger Things will have a main character death and fans coming up with Stranger Things theories, there is a lot of excitement in the air for what will happen in these last two episodes of season 4. Hopper has had such a moving, compelling, and fast-paced story arc for the past four seasons.

When the series opens, Hopper is lonely, running the police department in Hawkins and missing his daughter who passed away. When Hopper meets Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), he begins looking after her and their bond has become a favorite part of the series for many viewers. By the time that Hopper and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) become interested in each other romantically, Hopper has become himself one of the most interesting characters on the series. While the child characters are sweet, hilarious, and intelligent, Hopper and Joyce both hold their own.

From the Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 teaser, fans can see that the last two episodes promise to be just as exciting as the first seven. That's definitely saying something considering Hopper's season 4 arc so far: being tortured and then discovered by Joyce and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman). Fans loved watching Hopper and Joyce see each other again as they were both terrified that would never happen.

Now that the season is nearing its conclusion, fans expect to be wowed, surprised, and entertained in equal measure.
