It's fair to say that season 4 of Stranger Things is the most well-crafted, epic, and visually stunning that the Netflix show has ever been. Fans were pleased with these nine episodes, and while it's true that each one was super long (and in some cases, felt just as long as a movie), for the most part, the extra content was welcome thanks to the incredible storylines, character development, and dialogue.

As Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) story continues and she keeps bonding with the other young characters, and as the problems in Hawkins, Indiana worsen, fans can pick out some of the greatest quotes from each season of Stranger Things.

“I'm stealthy, like a ninja.”

Steve Tries To Sound Tough In Season 1

Stranger Things Steve Harrington

Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) is one of the most popular Stranger Things characters and a lot of that has to do with his relationship with Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo). But Steve is a great part of the show all on his own and he has many scenes when he says hilarious quotes.

In season 1, Steve describes himself "like a ninja" and it's hard not to laugh. While Steve is a part of a love triangle on Stranger Things and that is exciting to watch, Steve also does his best to sound like he's strong and like he can take on any evil creature in Hawkins, even if he's terrified.

"Compromise? How 'bout that's your word for the day, yeah? It's something that's kinda in-between, something like... half-way happy."

Hopper Teaches Eleven About Compromise In Season 2

Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is one of the best Stranger Things season 4 characters and the same thing is true of every single season of the Netflix show. The way that Hopper cares about Eleven is moving and beautiful, and the two spend a long time bonding and learning from each other in season 2.

While Eleven loves her Eggo waffles, she also finds out a lot about words and language. When Hopper teaches her what "compromise" means, it's both funny and adorable. Hopper's belief that when two people compromise, neither one is completely thrilled and joyful about it is totally correct. This is such a smart way to explain this concept, proving how logical and intelligent Hopper is.

"You can't spell America without Erica."

Erica Is Hilarious In Season 3

Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson) joining the Hellfire Club in Stranger Things season 4

Eleven has some great Stranger Things quotes, and in season 3, fans meet Lucas Sinclair's (Caleb McLaughlin) little sister Erica (Priah Ferguson) whose hilarious lines are the most unforgettable of the entire season. Erica believes in her ability to achieve whatever she wants like no one else on the show, and her confidence is inspiring.

Erica likes to prove her point, as she's as practical as she is stubborn, and when she says that "America" is literally part of her name, no one can argue with how smart she is. This quote quickly became a popular one and one of the most memorable from the whole series.

"All I needed was someone to open the door. And you did that for me. Without even realizing it. Didn't you? And when you did realize, you chose to resist..."

Vecna Explains Everything In Season 4

Stranger Things Henry "Vecna" Creel

Vecna has amazing special effects on Stranger Things and it's safe to say that he is the scariest part of season 4. Vecna is one of the most horrifying Stranger Things creatures. Near the end of the season, he tells Eleven that she helped create him, adding, "So I sought a means to open my own doors. I sought... your power. So, don't you see? Once again, you have freed me."

Jamie Campbell Bower played this powerful role perfectly, and Vecna's words are so meaningful because Eleven realizes that she will have to fight even harder to truly defeat him. Vecna shares that he has always had a desire to be something "great" and that he knew that taking others who are in pain and who have suffered would be a good goal. It's hard not to shudder at his terrible words.

"I think it must be hardwired into us to reject our fathers. So we can grow and move on. Become something of our own. I hope that's what she's doing. Coming into her own."

Hopper Talks About Eleven In Season 4

Hopper goes through so much in season 4 and it's horrible watching him as a prisoner, wondering if he will ever go back home. When Hopper thinks back on his time with Eleven, he says this moving quote about how kids have to separate from their parents so they can become more independent.

The fact that Hopper is trying to find a silver lining in this horrible situation is bittersweet and also shows what a wonderful dad he has been to Eleven. David Harbour talked about Hopper's season 4 story and the actor was definitely correct that the character experiences a lot of emotions but is tough. After hearing Hopper explain the natural order of things, it's impossible not to want Hopper and Eleven to reunite immediately because they still need each other.
