Season 4 of Stranger Things had a lot to offer to fans, but one moment in the season finale that stands out for many is the loss of Joseph Quinn's Eddie Munson. With Vecna being responsible for his death, actor Jamie Campbell Bower, who portrays the role of the villain, took it upon himself to apologize to Eddie fans.

When the Stranger Things season finale premiered earlier this month, fans were extremely disappointed to see that the creators had decided to kill Eddie. Over the fourth season, Quinn's Eddie Munson had become a fan favorite, with many rooting for him to become the hero. However, as part of the Hawkins crew that visits the Upside Down to kill Vecna, Eddie's fate was at risk the minute he agreed to be bait along with Gaten Matarazzo's Dustin Henderson.

In a hilarious video released by Netflix, Bower is seen apologizing to fans, and Quinn, for being responsible for Eddie's death. “I know a lot of people are mad at me,” he says in the video, as he faces the camera and delivers a heartfelt apology. Quinn wanders around in the background, not looking very pleased. Obviously noticing him, Bower states that his apology isn’t just for the fans, but also “the main victim of all this.” He then invites Quinn to join him in the frame, and explains how “things got really complicated at the end of the season.”

Not only does Bower apologize for Vecna taking Eddie's life, but he is also sorry for Chrissy's death. Grace Van Dien's Chrissy Cunningham is Vecna's first victim, and she dies in Eddie's home. Her death scene was quite shocking, as it's the first time Stranger Things fans were exposed to such a gruesome death. Eddie is then blamed for her death, and the police and Chrissy's boyfriend Jason are on the lookout for him throughout the season. After delivering his apologies, Bower gives Quinn a gift, a large wreath with a message from Netflix Brazil.

At first, it seems like Quinn will reject his apology and the unconventional gift, and Bower is ready to do “anything else” to make it up to him for killing off Eddie Munson. However, it seems like Quinn is an easy-going person, as he picks up the wreath and shouts “it’s all good mate” as he walks off. Even though Bower looks a little stunned, he thanks Quinn and refers to him as a “sweet, sweet boy.” He apologizes to fans again and promises that he will “go home and think about what [he’s] done.” While Eddie and Vecna are both fictional characters, it is obvious that fans have gotten attached to their stories, which makes the video and apology by Bower seem quite appropriate.
