The hit science-fiction horror series Stranger Things is ready to transport its fans to Hawkins, Indiana... circa 1985. Teaming up with Fever, Netflix is set to deliver a brand-new immersive exhibition called Stranger Things: The Experience which begins in New York City on May 7. Future events are planned for San Francisco and around the world.

Developed with the show's creators, the experience teases 80s iconography and supernatural spooks as attendees venture through Hawkins Plaza - which sounds an awful lot like Starcourt Mall. Throughout the adventure, fans will explore the Hawkins Lab, the Upside Down, and some other fan-favorite Stranger Things locations including Scoops Ahoy and the Palace Arcade.

"The rift is open and we’re excited that our Stranger Things fans will get to jump into the magic once more,” shared Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix. "This time they will take on the challenges themselves and work alongside Eleven, Mike, and the rest of the gang to fight the evil monsters plaguing Hawkins. As Dustin would say, you always say we should never stop being curious, to always open any curiosity door we find."

This announcement follows an influx of news regarding the highly-anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things. Show creators Matt and Ross Duffer have stated that the beloved science-fiction series will end after season five. However, there could still be some spin-offs in the works. It has also been stated that season four will be split into two parts with the first volume premiering on May 27. While the creators have stayed hush about the forthcoming season, they recently shared that the series will be "spread out" given the different locations of the characters. They compared the season to the popular HBO series Game of Thrones.

"Joyce and Byers family to have left at the end of Season 3. They are in California – we’ve always wanted to have that like E.T.-esque suburb aesthetic, which we finally got to do this year in the desert; and then we have Hopper in Russia; and then of course we have a group remaining in Hawkins. So we have these three storylines, are all connected and kind of interwoven together, but it’s just very different tones," said Matt Duffer. The duo went on to add that the season will give heavy insight into the supernatural happenings that viewers have witnessed over the past three seasons, sharing that each episode is over an hour in length.

Stranger Things: The Experience will take place at Duggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn, NY. They have time slots available every half hour and the audiovisual experience will last 45 minutes.

Tickets are limited and can be booked here.
