Square Enix ended its presentation with the world premier of its upcoming soulslike game Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. While the trailer itself was quickly made into a meme, the PS5 demo has surprised players with how fun it actually is. One of the main draws of the game is the way it uses the iconic Final Fantasy job system, allowing players to train their character in a variety of different classes and switch between them freely. Of the six jobs available in the PS5 demo, some players are wanting to know which one is the best.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin takes a page out of Final Fantasy Tactics' book by allowing players to have two jobs equipped at once. Switching between the two in the midst of battle is as easy as pressing a button, and players are actually encouraged to do so often. For this reason, players aren't restricted to picking only the best job, and they can also try out as many jobs as they want.

There are three basic jobs and three advanced jobs players can unlock in the demo. The basic jobs include Swordsmen, Mage, and Lancer, and unlock special combo abilities that players can use in the advanced job variants. The Swordsmen advances and unlocks the Warrior job, the Mage advances to unlock the Black Mage job, and the Lancer advances into the Dragoon job. Determining which of these six jobs is the best is largely a subjective matter, but there are some objective things that can be examined to get players in the right direction.

What is the max level in final fantasy origin demo

From personal experience, it seems as though the most powerful job in the game is the Black Mage. No other job is capable of dealing such massive damage to large groups of enemies, and the passive abilities unlocked through the Black Mage skill tree only make this more effective. That said, it isn't a good choice for players that want to stay up close and personal. When looking at the advanced jobs, one could consider the Warrior a tank, the Dragoon a physical DPS, and the Black Mage a magic DPS.

Which class is the best will depend entirely on the player's preference, but Black Mage is definitely a solid option. This class has the fastest melee attacks (allowing players to get in and out of melee safely), the best damage output through the use of charged spells like Aeroga or Flare, and can manipulate enemy weaknesses in their favor. What's more, the Strike damage type dealt by the Black Mage's Mace weapon is the most effective against a majority of the enemies in the demo.
