Now that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been out for a full week, many players have rolled credits at least once and are now powering through the game on harder difficulties and optimizing their builds. Once CHAOS difficulty has been unlocked, players can really start to grind towards the game's max level.

During the first play though, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin players can mostly focus on story and mastering the game's punishing combat system. Once they have a handle on the mechanics and have found some end-game Job pairings that they enjoy, some hardcore players can want to see if they can totally max out their party with the game's best equipment and highest level Jobs.

In order to reach the game's max level for Jobs, missions, or equipment; players first need to know where the grind ends. There is indeed a max for all of those categories and players will need to put in some serious work and demonstrate impressive combat skills to reach it.

Max Job Level

As players progress through SOPFFO they will increase the level of every job they play. During their first playthrough, the max level for every job is 30.

That said, after players roll credits for the first time on any difficulty, they will unlock CHAOS difficulty. While playing on CHAOS, players have the ability to increase Job levels up to 99.

Max Mission Level

Once CHAOS difficulty has been unlocked, players who really want to test their skills (or torture themselves) can opt to raise the difficulty level of any mission to 300. Raising the mission level will cost players some Anima Crystals, but there are pretty enticing rewards if they can manage to survive....

Max Equipment (Item) Level

As players opt to raise the difficulty level, the reward equipment level will scale up, as well. That means that players who spend Anima Crystals on CHAOS difficulty to take on 300 level missions can earn armor and weapons at the 300 level.

Hitting the 300 level in any of the categories is going to be a serious challenge and only the most patient and skilled players will actually manage to make that breakthrough. Mastering each fight on regular difficulty can be enough of a challenge, let alone moving on to CHAOS and spending the Anima Crystals to take things all the way up to max.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin releases March 18th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
