Each mission in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin concludes with a challenge boss fight that will test the skills Jack and his party have managed to master throughout their quest to find and kill Chaos. After finding a way to defeat Bikke and survive the battle with the Black Knight, the party be ready to throw down against the Fused Elemental.

The Fused Elemental fight is another multiphase battle that has a ton of mechanics and patterns for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin players to study and memorize. During the battle players will want to equip their strongest early- or mid-game Job pairing and get ready to do a lot of dancing and dodging while waiting for the perfect chance to strike down the elemental pair of enemies.

The first half of the battle has players facing off against two enemies repeatedly. Once enough damage is done, the fight will progress to phase two and (spoiler alert), the elementals will fuse. Each half of the fight requires players to take on a different strategic approach, so try not to get frustrated if those one takes a handful of tries at the harder difficulty levels. Players may want to equip at least one magic user Job for this fight, because ranged attacks will be particularly helpful in the second half.

Fused Elemental Fight Guide

Phase 1

  • Fire and Water elementals- During phase one players will need to battle a fire and a water elemental. Take advantage of their weaknesses while the opportunity is there. That means electro damage on the water elemental and water damage on the fire elemental.
  • Block and dodge as much as possible and then roll in for a strike here and there when the timing is right
  • After one half dies (doesn't matter which) the core will drop to the ground and be vulnerable to damage for a few seconds. Be careful though because after a certain about of damage is done the elementals are coming right back.
  • Repeat this strategy until the break gauge drops or the overall health hits 50% and triggers phase 2.

Phase 2

  • This is where the two beings fuse and become one super elemental. It hits very hard, but it's not terribly hard to dodge and block.
  • Ranged attacks are ideal at this point, so it would be smart to bring a magic user Job into this fight.
  • Stay out of the water and fire on the ground - if Jack is standing in a muddle and takes a hit it could be lights out
  • Because the fused elemental's speed is a little slower, this is a good fight for charged attacks to shine. Time things carefully and strike when the moment is right for increased damage.

That should be just about everything players need to know to survive the Fused Elemental fight. Be very careful to pay attention to attack animations and indicators on the ground that attacks are coming.
