One of the most exciting features about Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is its job system. Through it, players are able to train their Warrior of Light to be a master of many different schools of combat, and they can even combine two jobs to make their own unique style. There are still a lot of unknowns about the game at the moment, but the PS5 demo did give players some insight on how the game will play and a general idea of what its story will hold. Players that aren't able to play the demo because they don't have a PS5 may be curious to know how many jobs are available.

It should be said that this Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo is incomplete, and anything here is liable to change before the full release of the game in 2022. It's entirely possible that more jobs will be added in the future or that existing ones will be changed or reworked in some way.

There are a total of six jobs available for players to unlock and level up in the demo, but the last three are just advanced versions of the first three. Players will start the game with the Swordsmen job unlocked, a class that uses Greatsword weapons and utilizes a spinning attack as its special move. After finding their first Mace weapon, players can then switch to the Mage job. When in this role, players can charge up magic spells at the cost of MP that can devastate entire groups of enemies and deal elemental damage. Finally, players will eventually come across a Spear weapon and unlock the Lancer class, a versatile fighter with melee and ranged options.

Level up these basic jobs enough and players will eventually be able to unlock their advanced counterparts. The Swordsmen job gives players access to the Warrior job, trading the spinning attack for a battle cry that heals the player and buffs their damage. Likewise, Mage eventually becomes Black Mage, a job with more powerful spells like Flare. Finally, the Lancer job specializes into the Dragoon, which comes equipped with the iconic "Jump" ability.

Players can have any two jobs equipped at once in different battle sets, gaining the passive abilities of both jobs in the process. This means that players that want to jack up their Intelligence stat could use both Mage and Black Mage, but players that want to use magic and still hold their own in a fight might consider switching between Black Mage and Dragoon instead.
