When it comes to handheld consoles, gamers only have a handful of options. Valve Corporation, who is known for tits half-life series and almost universally used video game digital distribution service, Steam, noticed this gap in the market, and it took advantage of this to produce its own handheld console: the Steam Deck.

The Steam Deck was a breath of fresh air for the handheld console market, boasting great performance while taking advantage of the Linux operating system to create a smooth experience. Not only are the hardware and software known for their quality, but the console's selection of games is very robust. This includes a wide variety of hilarious multiplayer and co-op games that can be enjoyed just about anywhere.

Hilarious Games Available on the Steam Deck

Hilarious multiplayer games are not hard to find, especially on the Steam Deck, and the console's portable nature makes playing couch co-op easy. However, with plenty of games already available on the Steam Deck and more on the way, just choosing one can become an overwhelming task. For example, players can pick up the entertaining free title Crab Game right off the bat. The very obvious Squid Game parody is just the tip of the iceberg, though, as there are many humorous options available to Steam Deck owners.

Golf With Your Friends is exactly what it sounds like it is. It is a game about playing golf with one's friends on developer-made or community made maps, but unlike regular golf, Golf With Your Friends presents a version of the sport that is much more zany. Some of the obstacles include donuts flying at high speeds, thwacking hammers, and possibly someone who might hit their golf ball to derail someone else's. It is a sidesplitting game of unpredictability that makes for a perfect Steam Deck title.

Another hilarious game with a self-explanatory name is Goat Simulator 3. Having recently released in November of last year, the game is already available on the Steam Deck and presents hours of entertainment for those exploring both the game's map and what its engine is capable of. There is an incredible amount of fun to be had in how freeform the physics system is, allowing what seems to be a simple band of goat friends to send cars, people, and even themselves into the atmosphere. There are also a wide variety of secrets to be found and huge maps to be explored, making it a perfect multiplayer or co-op game to enjoy with friends. Not to mention, players get to learn what it would be like to be a goat with a surprisingly sticky and elastic tongue.

Of all the games included, Jackbox is easily the most chaotic. Jackbox differs from the other games mentioned because technically it is a collection of party games rather than its own game. Because of that, Jackbox is likely to have a game for just about anyone. That makes it perfect for bringing to a party or hanging out with online friends. One example of its games is 'Champ'd Up,' where players draw fighters based on a prompt and have said fighters duke it out with others fighters. The most convenient part of all is that only one player needs to own the game on the Steam Deck, and the rest of the players can join on their mobile devices.

Though these games are among the most hilarious experiences to be had on the Steam Deck, they represent only a fraction of the options to be found. With an incomprehensibly huge amount of games currently available and more on the way, the potential for fun is limitless. Any who are looking for fun times to be had should consider purchasing a Steam Deck, as its value extends beyond the console alone.
