Steam Controller is now discounted by a big fat 30% off to $35 at GameStop. use code SAVER for free shipping. Steam Link is also discounted for the same percentage off to $35.

Holy cow! Valve’s Steam Controller gets its first discount since its November 2015 release. This week GameStop is clearing their shelves with a $15 price drop 35. The Steam Controller deal popped up yesterday afternoon and demand was so great that GameStop’s servers was hammered. As of writing the deal is still available.

If the Steam Controller tickets your fancy, GameStop also has the Steam Link on sale for the same 30% off to $34.99. We’re not sure why GameStop is doing a fire sale on Valve’s hardware, but the surprise promotion is certainly appreciated as both accessory has never been on sale before as far as we know.

Value shipping at GameStop (4-7 business days) is priced at $3.99, but you can snag free shipping on the Steam Controller by plugging in promo code SAVER at checkout. Alternatively, if you want the controller faster, there’s a free store pickup option if you have a local GameStop nearby.

While Steam is still selling the controller for full price ($49.99) the discount may coincide with yesterday’s June update announcement. Valve states they’ve sold over half a million controllers to date and has updated the controller including some enhanced support for games purchased outside of Steam. More details on the Steam update here.

Update: the deal is now also available at Steam Store, and at Amazon the Steam Link is also on sale for $35.
