Since mining is one of the main ways to harvest natural resources in Stardew Valley, players will likely find themselves doing a lot of pickaxe-swinging. While breaking rocks and boulders on one's farm can be a convenient way to gather stone-borne goods, it's often more efficient to seek out spots where rarer gems have a better chance to spawn.
Out of all the locations in Stardew Valley, the Quarry is one of the best places to do some mining, as it offers the greatest surface area with rocks, boulders, and other nodes to harvest. However, it will take some work to unlock, so players will need to perform a few tasks before being able to mine the Quarry for its goods.
How To Unlock The Quarry
There are two ways to unlock the Quarry: completing all of the Craft Room Bundles in the Community Center or buying the bridge from the Joja Community Development Form. Each will take some effort to accomplish.
Like with every other major project in Stardew Valley, the Community Center takes more time and resources while the Joja route is just a cash investment.
How To Complete The Craft Room Bundles
For those who chose the Community Center route, there are six bundles that need to be completed to repair the bridge, each with its own unique requirements:

Spring Foraging Bundle: 1 Wild Horseradish, 1 Daffodil, 1 Leek, 1 Dandelion
- Reward: 30 Spring Seeds

How To Buy The Bridge From The Joja Community Development Form
Players who choose the Joja route can stroll over to the Joja Community Development Form and purchase the "Bridge" upgrade for 25,000g. This will repair the bridge so that one can cross it into the Quarry.
Where To Find The Quarry & How To Use It
The Quarry is found in the far northeast of the map, very close to where one finds the entrance to the Mountain. The only way to access the Quarry is from the bridge on the west side of it.
It is recommended to completely clear the Quarry of all nodes as often as possible, as this will create the maximum amount of room for resources to spawn, thereby increasing the chances of rare resources spawning, such as Iridium Ore and Prismatic Shards.
