While it might be hard for some to believe, Stardew Valley was released in February 2016. Despite being almost six years old now, fans continue to return to the game time and time again. As a role-playing simulation game, there is no shortage of activities for adventurous players to do. One of these many tasks includes mining minerals, such as the Prismatic Shard.

As one of the rarest items in the game, Prismatic Shards are strikingly beautiful. As the name suggests, the precious stones contain a rainbow of different colors. While they can be found in Mystic Stones in the Mines, Prismatic Shards can be found from several other sources, such as fishing treasure chests and monster drops. As a result of their physical appearance and rarity, these shards are valuable and can be used for a variety of purposes. Recently, one gamer decided to make artwork based on this breathtaking mineral.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as misenique shared a picture of a 3D modeled object they created from Stardew Valley. According to the creator, they decided to make a Prismatic Shard. What made this piece of artwork unique was that they decided to reimagine the shard in 3D instead of its original 2D design. In the picture shared by the creator, the precious gem contained the full-color spectrum. They even utilized a black background to help make the hues of the Prismatic Shard stand out.

Besides showing off the Prismatic Shard in a picture, misenique shared some details about the process of creating the 3D render. According to the creator, they used Cinema4D to model the object and rendered the final product with Octane. However, they noted that other 3D modeling programs, such as Blender, could be used to create the shard as well. In addition, the artist noted nine different lights were used to help capture the luminescence of the precious gem.

Since posting this picture of the Prismatic Shard, numerous members of the Stardew Valley community on Reddit have taken notice. With over 5,900 upvotes in less than a day, many were impressed with the design. In addition, some commented that they liked that the creator decided to remake the object in 3D. “This gives so much life to the original design,” one gamer said.

It is often exciting to see players create impressive creations based on the simulation title. Besides this Prismatic Shard created by misenique, another gamer made a Stardew Valley magnet board that included people, buildings, and objects from the game. As players continue to play the title in the months ahead, it will be interesting to see what other art is shared with the community.

Stardew Valley is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
