A gamer revealed an impressive Stardew Valley-themed 30th birthday cake made by their girlfriend, featuring crops and a house built by sweets.

Stardew Valley released back in 2016 by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone, who made the game by himself over the course of four years. After posting updates about the game's development process online, the game culminated enough of a following to make Stardew Valley's release largely successful. Since 2016, Barone has implemented a number of large updates, including the multiplayer update with Version 1.3 and the Beach Farm as well as Ginger Island included in Version 1.5, steadily increasing the number of players. Stardew Valley is considered one of the most successful indie titles out there, complete with passionate, loving fans, so it's not strange to see birthday cakes based on Barone's creation pop up.

A Redditor by the username u/Maxok was recently surprised with a Stardew Valley cake by their girlfriend. On top, it displays the player's farmhouse with pretzel sticks as the logs on the sides, and crops such as tomatoes and cabbages next to candles that read "30." The dirt path looks to be made of graham cracker crumbs and the tilled land is made of chocolate icing.

Of course, the Reddit post is flooding with positive remarks, such as one telling Maxok to whip out a Mermaid's Pendant for her. For those not in the know, a Mermaid's Pendant is how a player proposes to an NPC in-game after courting them with a Bouquet. However, Maxok replied that they haven't quite found the Prismatic Shard needed to make the Wedding Ring.

Instead of marrying NPCs, players can choose to marry their friends in-game with a Wedding Ring thanks to Stardew Valley's multiplayer mode. If the player accepts the ring, the two will become engaged. Like normal marriage in Stardew Valley, this means a wedding will take place in three days following the engagement.

Another Reddit commenter said that Maxok should make her a "giant crop cake" for her birthday, to which Maxok replied that they "might do" for her birthday next month. In fact, there's been quite an uptick in Stardew Valley birthday cakes since the game's release back in 2016, such as the many adorable Junimo cakes that have surfaced online.

Stardew Valley can also be an excellent game to play with significant others. Running a farm on co-op requires coordination and communication, not unlike the recent co-op puzzler It Takes Two, but in a different gameplay style.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
