The world of Stardew Valley seems almost endless, with so many different options and paths to take. Each time it is replayed, it can be completely different, and players often end up finding things they didn't know existed before! Something that a lot of players refuse to mess with in Stardew Valley is the JojaMart and its associated products and services — quite rightly so, as it stops another small town from being taken over by another faceless corporation. But, what if players want to delve into it? What is good about JojaMart? Specifically, what are the best goods to purchase from its cold, blue, unwelcoming shelves? Read on to find out. 5 Seeds On A Wednesday
Every farmer has been there. Farming away out in the fields, filling up every space so there will be a bountiful harvest with enough produce grown before the 28th of the month so that it can be used for that pesky quest, or to fill someone's message board request — but, wait, the pumpkin seeds have run out! Now what? It's Wednesday and Pierre's shop is shut!
Time to ignore the moral compass saying to shop small, and step foot into the corporate setting of JojaMart. They have an array of seeds for sale every day, so players can grab what they need for the mid-week plant at an only-slightly elevated price. The store is open from 9am till 11pm every day, unlike Pierre's conservative 9am to 5pm, six days a week routine.
4 JojaMart Membership
Giant retail corporations love to reign in customers with a quick scheme, and JojaMart is no different. The store has a membership available to players, which has benefits alongside its weirdly real-world feeling. The Membership to Joja costs a surprisingly low 5,000g and will cut all product prices to be the same as Pierre's General Store, or less. The option for this Membership will appear after the Community Center is unlocked. To sign up, visit Morris at the desk to the right of the front doors.
This scheme does indeed come at a price beyond the monetary value: purchasing this membership will destroy the Community Center, and mean that it cannot be filled or completed. This puts the player on the Joja path, meaning they will have to purchase the same rewards that the Community Center would have given, which can run up quite a cost eventually.
3 Joja Brand Items
Do you love Joja Cola? Do you want any visitors to know that? Do you wish you'd never quit the Joja Corporation and moved to this farm where it has started to take over as well? Then look no further than the Joja branded items that are permanently on sale at the store. There is a light for 500g, a snazzy blue logo-filled wallpaper for only 20g, and of course, the classic Joja Cola cans.
The Cola itself can be a good health and energy regeneration item in the early game, as it is not too expensive, and constantly available. Players can just find it in the trash sometimes for free, though.
2 Sunflower Seeds
As mentioned, JojaMart can be a great place to get seeds on a day when Pierre's has the audacity to close early or not open at all. But, what if Morris revealed that there is actually a particular seed that is best to buy directly from Joja, regardless of the day?
Somehow, amazingly, Sunflower seeds are cheaper at Joja Mart — not only than at Pierre's, but cheaper than the Night Market merchant, and the Traveling Merchant's cart. It is unclear why there is a discrepancy with Sunflower seeds, but players are advised to take advantage of the corporation's frugal slip-up.
1 The Auto-Petter
At some point, most farmers are going to get to the stage of having more animals than they know what to do with. When this happens, the animals might not get the attention and love that they deserve and won't, therefore, produce the best eggs, milk, or other products.
So, to keep those giant eggs and large milks coming, it is best to invest in a helping hand: Joja Mart's Auto-Petter. It is only available after completing the Joja Warehouse, however, and costs an eye-opening 50,000g. But it is worth it. The Auto-Petter keeps the mood of any animals up each day, while their owners are out running quests. Be sure to place it in the barn though! The petting can also stack with the player attending to animals too, which can speed up the process quite a lot.
