Star Wars: The Force Unleashed features a number of power crystals players can use to upgrade Starkiller's lightsaber. Unlike the color crystals that are also scattered throughout the game, power crystals confer unique bonuses to Starkiller when set in his lightsaber and are an excellent way of improving his power. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action-adventure game set before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope. As Darth Vader's secret apprentice "Starkiller" players must wield the force as a deadly weapon to take down threats to the Empire.
Rubat Crystal
The Rubat Crystal is the first power crystal players can find, but that doesn't make it any less useful. The Rubat Crystal grants a boost to Starkiller's lightsaber damage, which is always useful regardless of playstyle.
The Rubat Crystal is found in the Tie Fighter Factory, on the highest walkway of the Wing Lift Area.
Ruusan Crystal
The Ruusan Crystal is an excellent crystal for players who are making heavy use of their force powers (which the game strongly encourages).
The Ruusan Crystal reduces the cost of using Force Powers, allowing Starkiller greater freedom to unleash the force in combat. The crystal is located in the bar area near the start of Cloud City, above the roof of a bar.
Vexxtal Crystal
The Vexxtal Crystal is a somewhat unusual crystal, but highly useful when fighting groups. This crystal adds a chance for Starkiller's lightsaber attacks to "infect" enemies with a damage aura, causing them to deal damage to enemies around them for a short time.
This Crystal is found in Imperial Felucia. Players should search for a crane after the second AT-ST in the Saarlac area, the crystal is atop the crane.
Sigil Crystal
A great power crystal for players using Sith lightning is the Sigil Crystal. This crystal increases the damage of all electrical attacks, most notably making Sith lightning more damaging.
This crystal is found in Imperial Raxus Prime. At the start of the level there is a ledge on the left of the path that can be reached with the force dash. After doing so head through the door to find the Sigil Crystal.
Katak Crystal
One of the best power crystals for survivability is the Katak Crystal. This Crystal adds a lifedrain effect to Starkiller's lightsaber, allowing him to restore his health simply by chopping up foes.
While the effect doesn't trigger every swing, it is still an excellent source of healing. This crystal is found near the end of the game, in the Death Star. The crystal is on top of the walkways at the start of the level.
