The Book of Boba Fett has been promoted non-stop lately as Disney Plus and Lucasfilm aim to make it a hit over the holidays. Now, the latest teaser for the Star Wars series makes it clear that it means to cement Boba Fett's role in the galaxy as more than just a side character who fights for the highest bidder.

The Book of Boba Fett looks to explore the lost years from when Boba Fett was absent and also gives his role more depth. Boba Fett attracted a huge fan base when he was introduced in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, but it was mainly due to the character's cool armor and attitude rather than what he's done in the movies, as his time was very short. He had a few lines, shot a few bullets, and was "killed" by an incoherent Han Solo in Return of the Jedi.

Boba was reintroduced during the latter half of The Mandalorian's second season and also brought along a new friend in Fennec Shand. The character is also a gunslinger like Boba and she is able to hold her own against Star Wars' most dangerous underworld characters, which makes her the perfect person to stand in the same place as Boba. Most of the promotional material for The Book of Boa Fett has focused on the duo and their goal to make a name for themselves on Tatooine. However, this recent preview focuses more on Boba than it does anybody else. It shows Boba being "reborn" as he's in a vital chamber with a breathalyzer, gets his armor refurbished, equips himself, and goes looking for a fight.

The thing that would set The Book of Boba Fett from The Mandalorian is to have this character show why he's one of the galaxy's deadliest hunters. If one were to think about it, Darth Vader was a Sith Lord who was outmatched by none or very few people. This is also the same man who picked Boba Fett to be one of his bounty hunters, which means that Boba had to do something very insane in order to get someone like Vader to have faith in him.

Boba Fett's introductory fight scene in The Mandalorian was brutal, fast, and deadly, which matched the character's aesthetic. It was clear that the man behind the armor is very deadly, which can't be said about the protagonist of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin.

Din Djarin is clumsy when he fights and it often feels like the only reason he's considered to be deadly is because of his nearly indestructible armor. With Deadpool's stunt coordinator being a part of The Book of Boba Fett, hopefully, fans get some fight scenes that actually make the bounty hunter look like he deserves to be the main character.

The Book of Boba Fett will be available on December 29th, 2021, on Disney Plus.
