Star Wars: Squadrons is officially releasing tomorrow, marking the return of a classic Star Wars space combat game after two decades of hiatus. In the upcoming game, players will return to the cockpit in a combat-focus Star Wars space simulator that bears a striking resemblance to classic titles such as Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars TIE Fighter.

Now, players who are interested to pick up Star Wars: Squadrons would be happy to know that Green Man Gaming is currently offering a discount on the game via Origin, ahead of its release tomorrow. PC players can pick up Star Wars: Squadrons for $34.79, which is 13% off its original price of $39.99. While the discount may not be much, it's worth noting that Green Man Gaming's deal is one of the lowest available for the game right now, and players must simply input the promotional code SQUAD to take advantage of the discount.

For those unfamiliar, Star Wars: Squadrons will let players take control of ships from either the Galactic Empire or the New Republic navy, and the game will also feature full flight stick support. Each ship will have its own movement of power, weapons, and other technology to help players defeat their enemies in combat.

The game will feature a single-player mode, and two multiplayer modes, which are all played exclusively in first-person. The two multiplayer modes will feature Dogfight, which puts up to 10 players, split int two groups, to battle against each other in a Team Deathmatch format. On the other hand, the second multiplayer mode is called Fleet Battles, which is somewhat similar to Dogfight, but the primary goal is for players to target and destroy Capital Ships.

Story-wise the single-player campaign will revolve around the events after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the Death Star. The main-campaign will revolve around the perspectives of Case Kassandora from the Galactic Empire and Rao Highmoon from the New Republic. The game is also set to explore some familiar locations in the Star Wars universe such as Esseles, the Naidiri Dockyards, Sissubo, Galitan, and Zavian Abyss.

Star Wars: Squadrons releases October 2, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
