Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac suggests that he will not reprise the role of Poe Dameron in any more Star Wars movies. Isaac, who stars in the sequel trilogy alongside John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, is hugely popular and this news may come as a big disappointment to fans.

Speaking to Deadline, Isaac said that working on big movies like Star Wars made him feel like "a man in a desert." While Isaac will also star in big-budget sci-fi movie Dune, directed by Dennis Villeneuve, it seems that these types of movies will be a rarity for the actor moving forward. The actor called his work on the indie crime drama The Card Counter a "personal turning point" for him.

Something that may make Isaac return to the Star Wars series though, is if he "needs another house," the actor joked. It's unclear how much Isaac was paid for his role in the movies but given that the sequel trilogy made more than $4 billion at the box office, it's likely to have been a big amount.

Isaac's comments may draw a few tears from some Star Wars fans, but others may feel that this gives Disney much more room to grow the series and cast new, lesser-known actors in lead roles. There have been reports that the next Star Wars trilogy will start with a video game and if that does happen, gamers may get to meet the new protagonists before the first movie hits theaters.
